POSITION PURPOSE

  • Overall management of Residence Hall consisting of primarily first year residents. 

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:      All Lakeland University staff members are expected to:

  • Advise their supervisor with respect to all matters that require their attention, including their own performance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Train, supervise and support residence life staff
  • Implements area goals, and monitors programs within the assigned Residence Life for on-campus housing departments
  • Serves as a critical leader in fostering a campus culture building on the LU tradition.
  • Prepare Student learning objectives to assess all programming
  • Communicate student activities using marketing, social media, publications etc.
  • Regularly assess all programming on campus and report out to the associate provost for student development
  • Have a strong knowledge of our students and can effectively communicate with them via email, social media, in person etc. regarding programming
  • Collaboration with faculty and staff
  • Attend events on campus to support and engage with students
  • Support the philosophies of the Residence Life mission statement

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and visionary individual who enjoys working at a small campus with very diverse students. 
  • A bachelor degree with an interest in student development/higher education career. 
  • Acceptance into a Graduate program at Lakeland University.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • No or very limited exposure to physical risk;
  • No or very limited physical effort required;
